WILD ALASKAN ROSES
Wratchey Boy Hendrix plays Keyboard

This talent was mastered May of 2004!

Below are photos Ive collected on my very special cat that, thru his extreme devotion (shouldnt all 'men' be devoted like THIS!! ;) first mastered playing the guitar. When I noticed in 2001 that Wratchey Boy was plucking the strings on my classical acoustic on PURPOSE, I began to reinforce that behavior with treats. Soon it became quite the habit often waking me up mornings with a symphony of plucked strings in my ear! Wratchey Boy earned his last name 'Hendrix' as a result of this musical talent very unusual for a cat. Before I go on and show Wratchey's latest talent here are some photos of Wratchey playing guitar...

In the spring of 2004, I got this idea in my head and decided to see what would come of it. I placed Wratchey Boy on a chair in front of the keyboard, raised his paw and had him play a key so that he could hear the sound, and then fed him (yep) a treat. THAT is all it took, and the rest, is now history...

And, in a sense of fairness, let's not forget my love, my sweet love, Miss Rachel Ann! Altho she doesnt exhibit the propensity for musical genius like Wratchey Boy does, she is still Wratchey Boy's mother and forever, my 'hunnybunny' and loves me with a passion!  She does however, like to hang out tho..

From time to time, I will update this page with new photos. My cats are so very special, and BIG!! Wratchey Boy weighs in at 28.5 pounds, and Miss Rachel Ann at 19 pounds. Altho Miss Rachel Ann has a belly (I paint her with food colors during Easter as my 'Easter Egg' ;) Wratchey is just big, period. When Rachel Ann gave birth to Wratchey, he was one of five kittens. This litter (her first before being spayed) all had the same mother and father, being locked up together. There were two kittens born like Miss Rachel Ann (white) and two kittens like the father 'Beau' (black) and then, WRATCHEY!! He was TWICE the size of any of the other kittens and tabby. I knew instinctively he was a very special cat. I was offered alot of money for him when he was a kitten but wouldnt budge and I couldnt be more thankful as they have both added SO much richness to my life. They are my companions; they love the music, and I owe them my undying devotion. What are the chances a cat would come to play not only a guitar, but keyboard as well? Hmmmm I wonder whats next ;)
